Lucila Diaz

July 17, 1946 — April 1, 2021

Lucila Diaz “Lucy”, beloved wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 74.

Grandma Lucy was born on July 17, 1947 in Mexico City, Mexico and lived in several places throughout Mexico before immigrating to the U.S. in 1976.
She is survived by her husband Oscar, her three children, Ernesto, Roberto, and Diana, their spouses, 7 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Grandma Lucy loved gardening, dancing and watching KERA TV. She could grow the most beautiful flowers and they would thrive under her care. She loved to dance, it was in her blood and she took every opportunity to show her grandkids the proper way to dance to music from her young days. Even while her body ached, music soothed her soul. She also loved watching travel shows on KERA TV and always said it was her way of traveling to every location she ever dreamed of visiting. Grandma Lucy was the family memory keeper, she loved to print pictures “the old fashion way” and kept photo albums that we will now all cherish.

Mom, you are now with Christ but you will forever be in our hearts and our memories.
