Louis Muchow

Louis Muchow, 79, of Grand Prairie passed away at 9:37 a.m. May 11, 2013, surrounded by family at a hospice. Louis was born December 23, 1933, the son of Margaret and Ed Muchow in Otis, Colo. He graduated from Otis High School in 1951 and attended Colorado A&M before enlisting in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1955. Louis married Helen Korf on March 2, 1958. He was employed by GAF Corp. as a chemist and retired in 1996 after 30 years' service. Louis enjoyed the outdoors. Trips to Colorado and Florida were especially delightful for him. He enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends in and around the local area. Other areas of interest were baseball and reading. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Helen; two brothers, Leroy and Leonard; and a sister, Leota. Survivors include his Daughters, Debbie Hendrix of Grand Prairie and Lori Burns of Arlington; sons-in-law, Dan Hendrix of Grand Prairie and Donnie Burns of Arlington; grandchildren, Brittany Green and husband, Christopher, of Fort Worth, April Crozier and husband, Glen, of Fort Hood and Derrick Burns of Arlington; sisters, Lois Marr of Denver, Colo., and Loris Schmidt of Pueblo, Colo.; brother, Larry Muchow of Edgewater, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Betty Force of Otis, Colo., Linda L. Muchow of Loveland, Colo., and Linda S. Muchow of Edgewater, Fla.; 12 nephews; eight nieces; and six great-grandchildren.
