Lori A. Helsley

September 16, 1960 — May 7, 2017

Lori was the youngest of 4 children. She was born Lori Ann Shaffer on September 16th, 1960 in North Tonawanda, NY. Her parents were Clifton and Lois Shaffer.
Lori was born just 21 minutes from Niagara Falls, which most people consider to be the 8th Wonder of The World. Lori was a wonder in her own right. She had a smile that could always light up any room she was in, and she did just that to the very end.
Lori was always a premier employee, no matter where she worked. She always stood out in a crowd, and strived to always do the best job she could on any assignment given to her.
Lori is preceded in death by her father Clifton.
She is survived by her loving husband John, that loved and cherished her, took care of her through the ups and downs of her year and a half battle with cancer, and always encouraged her to never give up. What made it easier, was that Lori was a fighter, and never complained about the tiredness and pain that she had to push through.
She is also survived by her mother Lois, her sister Cheryl and her husband Alan, her brother Brad and his wife Ann, and her brother Kim and his wife Bonnie.
She is also survived by her 2 sons… Jason and his wife Candace, and Jacob and his wife Courtney.
The most tragic part of this whole story, is that she didn’t get a chance to watch her grandchildren grow up into adulthood before leaving this world. Her 3 grandchildren… Camden, Jackson, and Cade were the light of Lori’s life. Those 3 boys were referred to as Ma’s Boys.
Shopping was always Lori’s favorite hobby. But boy did she love to shop for those 3 boys.
Lori is now with her father Clifton in heaven, waiting for us, and preparing a place for all of us when God decides it is time to join her. She will be watching over us in death, as she always did in life.
