Lois Jean Rastatter

Lois Jean Rastatter, 70 of Mansfield, went to be with Lord on May 17, 2023. She was born to Margaret “Peggy” White and Lester “Les” Brace in Cleveland Ohio on January 11, 1953.

Lois married Joseph Rastatter and together they had two children. She was an active parishioner at St. Jude Catholic Parish since 1995. Lois was a lifelong Girl Scout; spending 50+ years as a registered member from scouting, to scout leader with her daughter Nicole, to alum. She was also active in the Cub Scouts with her son, Steven. She worked in food service with Mansfield ISD for 24 years before her retirement in 2019.

Lois looked at life through her own lens. She enjoyed taking photographs, exploring new places, reading, and plastic canvas. She loved to add color to her world and could often be found completing intricate coloring pages. Her artistic spirit enjoyed southwestern aesthetic. She loved music spanning generations and she loved animals, especially dogs and horses.

Lois deeply loved and cared for family and friends. She had a great impact on more lives than she ever fully understood. In her moments of ease, she radiated laughter and a contagious fun-loving spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Lester Brace.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Joe Rastatter; son, Steven Joseph Rastatter and wife, Kelly; daughter, Nicole Marie Rastatter; grandchildren, Makayla Marie Rollen and Shyla Renee Wasser; sisters, Penny Knowlton and husband, Terry, and Janet Mezatasta; and beloved dog, Charlie.
