ARLINGTON -- Lois Steinberg Biggard, 95, died Monday, July 23, 2012. Service: A celebration of life will be held at the home hosted by both daughters. Memorials: Should friends desire, a memorial may be made in Lois's memory to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 East Lancaster, Ft. Worth, TX 76103 or charity of your choice. Lois lived a very active and interesting life, with many activities. Among those were President of the PTA many times, Eastern Star, Brownie Leader then on to the Girls Scout Council, The Elks Auxiliary, The Emblem Club, Garden Club, Art Club, American Legion Auxiliary and General Federation of Woman's Clubs. She loved to paint in oils, clowns in pastels and decoupage on glass. She was a spokesperson for the American Indians. Her and her husband travelled extensively in their motor home, taking their grandchildren. Lois graduated from Altoona High School the Class of 1935 and Bucknell University Class of 1939. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Robert S. Biggard, and her sisters Bernice W. Fried and Sandra Wallis. Wiggins and husband, Charles O. Wiggins of Arlington; grandson, Curt R. Wiggins of Florida; granddaughter, Dana B. Gerard and husband Alexandr Lavin of Plano; great grandchildren, Lauren A. Wiggins and Jordin E. Wiggins of Florida; sister, Phyllis Schuenemann of McComb, Mississippi; niece, Paula S. Lawrence of New York and Sander Vanderwerf of New Jersey; special friend, Mark Anthony Collins.
