Linda Hopton-Jones

Linda Hopton-Jones, 65, of Mansfield, Texas,  passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Dallas. Linda was born in Dallas on October 21, 1947. She grew up in Cedar Hill, where she met her high school sweetheart, Ron. They were married on September 3, 1966. After living for many years in Cedar Hill with her husband and daughters, the family moved to Mansfield. As a dedicated and devoted volunteer in many community organizations, Linda gave much of her time to helping others. She loved her family, especially her two granddaughters. She leaves behind a large family and friends who will miss her dearly. Survivors: Her husband, Ron Hopton- Jones; Daughters, Ronda Lane and husband Richard, Leslie Jones and husband Chris; Granddaughters, Raegan Lane and Savannah Jones; Sisters, Judy Killough and husband Steve, Cindy Duffey and husband John, Tracy Clapp and husband Vernon; Brothers, Roger Foster and wife LaDell, Tim Foster;  Brother in laws, Rick Hopton-Jones and wife Gay, Doug Hopton-Jones and wife Terry, Rusty Burris. She was predeceased by her parents Ila Fay Gorman and John T. Foster. Memorials: The family has requested that donations be made in Linda’s name to the Mansfield Methodist Auxiliary.
