On December 7th 2015 Leonard E. Keith Sr. was called home by the Lord. Born March 4th 1940 in Abilene, Texas to Alexander Clayton Keith and Christine Bryson Keith. He was the fifth of six children. His father died when Leonard was nine years old, leaving his Mother with six children. Leonard felt complied to get a job and help his Mom.
He retired in1991 from a wrecker service that he had due to cardiac problems, but he could not sat idile while his wife worked. So he started a guitar and string instruments business at Trader’s Village. Where he was known as “the guitar man”. He did this until October 2009, when he had a stroke and was forced to stay home.
He loved old country music and old western movies. He loved to play the guitar and violin, (Fiddle). He also played the piano. He never learned to read music, but he played by ear.
He leaves his wife of 48 years, Marlene Sendejas Keith. His daughter Kristi Keith Price, his son-in-law Christopher Jay Price. His grandson, Ryden Koy Resendez, his grand-daughter Zaylin Len Price. Four sister-in-laws, three brothers in law, many nephews and nieces who loved and will miss him very much.
He was preceded by his son Leonard (Lenny) E. Keith Jr., his father Alexander Clayton Keith, his mother Christine Bryson Keith, his brother, David Keith, Robert (Bobbie) Keith, Ronald (Ronnie) Keith. His sisters Billie Mereith and Mary Sessom.
Funeral services will be at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas on Saturday December 12th at 10:30 am. Visitation will be Friday December 11th at 6:00-8:00 pm at Blessing Funeral Home.
