Larry Sloan

MANSFIELD -- Larry M. Sloan, 83, the retired owner of Sloan Delivery Service, Inc., passed away January 4, 2013. Service: 11 a.m., Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Interment: 1:15 p.m., Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Larry was born June 9, 1929 in Hamilton. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1948. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and Air Force retiring in 1980. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Keith Sloan. Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Lila Sloan, daughter, Sharrie Sears; grandchildren, Samuel, Haylee and Allisa Sears; brother, Ray K. Sloan (Betty); and numerous nieces and nephews.
