Kenneth George Illig

Kenneth George Illig, 78, passed away January 31, 2016 at a local hospital in Mansfield.
Mr. Illig was born to George Illig and Irene (Wallace) Illig, May 1, 1937 in Erie, Pennsylvania, attending Academy High School in Erie. Upon graduation, Kenneth entered the General Electric Apprentice Course, paving a career as a Process Engineer and leading to a positions at LTV and finally retiring from Liggett & Platt in 2003. In retirement, Kenneth enjoyed playing pool, especially 9-ball, ping pong and woodworking. He took special interest in the ASPCA.
Mr. Illig is survived by his son Russell (girlfriend Trish Lotz) and daughter Jacqueline A. Murawski (husband Philip). He has 5 grandchildren, Adam and Victoria Murawski as well as Jesse, Nathan and Tory Illig.
The family will have a gathering at 4101 Brownwood Lane, Arlington, Texas 76012, February 6, 2016, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. for those wishing to send their condolences and to share in fellowship with the family.
