MANSFIELD -- Surrounded by her family, Kathy Glyn Hann Phillips died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. Kathy, suffering from early onset Alzheimer's, resided at Isle of Watercrest in Mansfield at the time of her death.        Service: Pending.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Alzheimer's Association.        Kathy was born in Center on Oct. 15, 1949, to Warren "Buddy" and Nelwyn Carriker Hann. She was an honor graduate of Sulphur High School in Sulphur, La. Kathy graduated in 1972 from the University of Louisiana in Monroe with a bachelor's degree in pharmacology. After graduation, Kathy worked as a pharmacist for over 35 years in Louisiana, California and Texas. Kathy was married to Sherman "Rip" Phillips from 1973 to 1998. She worked for almost 20 years at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock before retiring in 2007.        Kathy dearly loved animals and for many years. When not at work, she volunteered at South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Lubbock. Kathy was an outdoor enthusiast and especially enjoyed tennis, cycling and golf.        Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.        The family would like to thank all the very special people with Envoy Hospice and Comfort Keepers for the excellent care and love they provided for Kathy. Your support and compassion were a blessing for Kathy and her family.        Survivors: Brother, Kim Hann of Forest Hill; aunt, Cynthia Carriker Williams and husband, Sonny, of Mansfield; cousins, Lori Tipton of Denton, Kirby Williams and wife, Julie, of Flower Mound, Warren Ward of San Antonio and Ronnie Ward of Iraan; and dear friend, Connie Lawrence of Lubbock.
