Kathryn Kemp-Jackson

Kathryn Alice Kemp-Jackson was born October 13, 1946 to Miller and Virginia Kemp who proceeded her in death.

Growing up as a child, she loved music and enjoyed playing the violin and piano. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She later joined and was baptized at Faith Prayer Assembly Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Rudolph Leonard, Sr., Pastor. She relocated to Texas in 2005 and became a faithful member of Word of Truth Family Church under the leadership of Eben Conner, Senior Pastor.

Kathryn completed her education in Southern California, graduating with honors from Centennial High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Pepperdine University, and later received her Masters degree in Early Childhood Education.

Kathryn had a passion for children and committed her life to working in the Los Angeles school system for 35 years as an Educator. The same dedication, commitment, faithfulness and work she rendered to her church, she also rendered to the children and parents of the Los Angeles community.

Kathryn married Bobby Jackson in June 1971. And with this union two beautiful children were born. She saw that her children were given the best she could provide, instilling values, loving care, opportunities and material comforts. She was a very caring, loving, nurturing, genuine, sweet and wonderful person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and often expressed to others how proud she was of her family, especially her only grandchild. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, but above all she loved the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories daughter Cherise Johnson (Kenneth) of Fort Worth, Texas, son Brandon Jackson (fiancée Alesia Winston) of Los Angeles, California, granddaughter Caiya Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas, sister Judith Fenderson of Sugarland, Texas, godchildren Kilika Wedermyer, Zakiya Gipson and Zajohnae Price of Los Angeles, California and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, Christian family, relatives and friends.
