Kathleen Christine Rankin was born on July 21, 1975 in St. Charles, Missouri to John Alvin McMickle and to Marjorie Mae Grubb. At the age of 3 she moved to Dallas, Texas where she attended Bayles Elementary. At the age of 10 she moved to Mesquite, Texas where she attended Shands Elementary, Vanston Middle School, and eventually graduated from North Mesquite High School.
Once out of high school, Kathleen went straight into the workforce, where she built a reputation for her consistent, reliable and hard work ethic. Kathleen not only succeeded at her job, but was a gifted mentor to those around her.
Kathleen was the mother of three beautiful boys, Chance, Riley, and Tanner, and the amount of love she had for them was unmeasurable, and she passed her values on to her boys. They are unspoiled, honest, compassionate, inclusive, and each have a character equal to her own.
In 2004 she met her husband Jacky Rankin and they have been inseparable ever since. Kathleen and Jacky shared an adoringly devoted bond filled with love and inspiration.
Kathleen was always surrounded by loved ones and never met a stranger, from game nights, movie nights, and cook outs, she always knew how to make every moment count. She always had her arms open to anyone in need, and welcomed anyone into her ever growing family.
Kathleen passed away at 2:56 pm, on June 9th in Mansfield, Texas at the age 47, and is preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Mae Grubb.
She is survived by her husband, Jacky Rankin; and her three sons, Chance McCallister, Riley McCallister and Tanner Arnold; her father John McMickle; her siblings, Steven Echols, Terri Winklemann, Tanya Thompson, Shawn McMickle, and her lifelong best friend, Jo Garland.
