Judy Carol Fowler (Pate), 79, of Arlington, TX, passed away January 2, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Judy was born to Walter Leroy and Lois (Bonner) Pate in Memphis, TX, on October 29, 1941. She graduated from Lakeview High School and attended West Texas State University (currently West Texas A&M University). On September 2, 1961, she married her husband of 49 years, Kermit Doyle Fowler. They later moved to Arlington and raised two daughters. She worked for Mack Trucks, Inc.
Judy and Doyle enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. Judy loved to play games and craft with friends and to spend time with family. She also enjoyed serving in her church and supported several charities. She always wore a smile and will be greatly missed.
Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Doyle Fowler; parents, Walter Leroy Pate and Lois (Bonner) Pate; brother, Roy Gene Pate.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Jeri Michelle Pyles and husband Raymond Pyles of Arlington, TX; daughter, Regina Bowles and husband John Bowles of Arlington, TX; sister Jodena Payne of Dumas, TX; 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Donations in Judy’s honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
There is a 60-person occupancy limit in Blessing Colonial Chapel. Also, all persons are required to wear masks inside the chapel.
