Josephine Elizabeth Ivy

Josephine Elizabeth Ivy, 78, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in Mansfield, Texas.

Josie was born in Alto, Texas on November 7, 1941 the daughter of James Conrad VanOrden and Ides Smith Smoots. She married Alvin Lee Ivy in Rusk, Texas on December 12, 1964. She had worked for the MISD Transportation department for many years and was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Josie was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Ivy, sister Grace Smith and brother Carl VanOrden.

She is survived by son Tim Ivy and wife Amy of Mansfield; daughters, Rosie Wagoner and husband Derrick of Cedar Hill and Christi Dunn of Kennedale; brothers Jimmy VanOrden and wife Sandra; Larry VanOrden and wife Kim all from Mississippi; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews and many close family friends.
