Jonathan Lewis Thurston, 20, of Arlington,TX Passed away August 20th 2021.
He was born in Fort Worth on March 31 2001 to Tanya and David Thurston.
Jonathan Graduated from Bowie High school in 2019 and was pursuing a Computer Science Degree from UT Arlington.
Jonathan had been a member of Scouting from age 6 to 18 with Pack 118,Troop 1800, Troop 1097, Troop 591 and Ship 626 and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. In elementary school he was a member of Fitzgerald Elementary Garden Club, where he later installed a Bamboo shade shelter as his Eagle Project.
He was inducted into Troupe 56 International Thespian Society. As a member of Bowie Headliners he was cast in the plays: Wizard of OZ, Nevermore, You could Die Laughing, A Midsummer Night's Dream,Villa du Havre, An Alamo Remembrance, and Seussical
He had a passion for anime, gaming, graphics design, computer programming and theatre arts. When he was not gaming or hanging out with his friends he was working on his own game.
He is survived by Mother Tanya Ewbanks Thurston, Father David Thurston, Brothers David and Michael Thurston, Grandmother Marquerite Thurston Roberts and Grandfather Gerald Ewbanks
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas.
A Public Visitation will be held before the memorial 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, all friends and family are welcome to attend.
