Jon Lyn Allbright II, 52 of Rio Vista, died on May 3, 2023. Jon was born to Sharon Faye Self and Jon Lyn Allbright I on February 17, 1971 in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Mansfield High School and went on to be a welder. He was employed with Supreme in Cleburne.
Jon was a proud father of two sons, Michael Allbright and Cody Allbright, whom he shared with their mother, Misty Laverty.
He later met and married his beloved wife, Jo Ann Allbright. They were looking forward to sharing their lives together.
Jon was known as Sonny to his family and friends. He was a devout Christian man and loved sharing words of encouragement and bringing people to know God’s love. He attended Chisolm Trial Cowboy Church. He enjoyed fishing and bowling and was a great mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his two sons, Michael Allbright and Cody Allbright; and his grandparents, Thurman and Faye Self, and GW and Ruth Allbright.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Jo Ann; mother, Sharon Self Crowson; father, Jon Lyn Allbright I; sister, Amber Knapp and husband, Chris Knapp; half-brother, Shane Crowson; step-children, Lexi Barron, Cameron Pitts, and Cole Pitts; mother-in-law, Sandra Garza; father-in-law, Abel Garza; nephew, Jonathan Shuler and partner Kristina Martin; niece, Jordan Shuler; great-niece, Coraline Charlotte Shuler; and belove dog, Kiki.
A visitation will be held at Blessing Funeral home on Monday, May 8th from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM with a Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 9th in the Blessing Colonial Chapel at 11:00 AM. Jon will be laid to rest following the service at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Tyler next to his two sons.
