John R. John Jr., 72, passed away February 15, 2018.
John was born March 29, 1945 in Marshall, Missouri to parents John R. John and Mary Eleanor John. Known in many national and international locales as John John the Ticket Man, he loved and followed a variety of sports including golf tournaments such as the Masters, Colonial and Byron Nelson, boxing, and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He attended many Super Bowls and never missed a single Cowboys home game until illness precluded his attending.
Even more than love of sports, love of country prevailed. Always patriotic, John served the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969, and was a recipient of several medals including a Comp Silver Star and two Purple Hearts. Remaining the warrior throughout the years, he was protector of the family and helped other veterans in every way he could.
Survivors include his father, John R, John; sons, Michael Crutchfield and wife Monique, and Mark Crutchfield and wife Tia; daughter, Sherri Whitesell and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Cassie, Hogan, Charla and Hannah; brothers, Bruce John and Greg John; sister Lana Lutton and husband Kenny; several nieces and nephew.
