John Albert Hammill

John Albert Hammill, 58, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away January 6, 2024. He was born May 17, 1965 in Laurel, Mississippi to his parents Albert Curtis Hammill and Betty McAlpine Schuette. John graduated from Mansfield High School and then started his career in the Steel Industry. He got his start at Trinity Forge of Mansfield, TX and continued on to Will Banks of Fort Worth, TX and then to Delta Steel of Fort Worth, TX. On October 28, 2012, John married his love Kay Hammill in Mansfield, TX. John loved his family and had a passion for fishing and camping.
John is survived by his wife Kay Hammill, stepmother Patricia Schuette, daughters Macy and Maegan Hammill, son Wesley Akins, stepchildren Crystal Johnston and Brandon and Lauren Blair. Sister Kimberly Schuette Symank, brothers Michael and Angie Curtis Hammill, Brian Kenneth Hammill and Timothy Fredrick Hammill, stepbrother David and Janie Schuette. Grandchildren Atlas, Lana, Rachel, Phillip, Brandon Jr and Jim and many nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents Albert Curtis Hammill, Betty McAlpine Schuette, sister Rebecca Lynn Hammill.
Memorial Service will be held at Blessing Funeral Home on February 10, 2024, at 10am.
