Service: 2 p.m., Friday at Blessing Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home.
Joe retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1983.
Joe is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Dillard, his parents Claude and Maude Dillard, sister, Ruby Lee Pickens, and brother Frank Dillard.
Survivors: Wife, Evelyn J. Dillard; daughters, Carolyn Dillard, Donna Dillard Jones (Jackie), Sherri Dillard Manning (Steve); step-daughters, Dena Smith (Larry), Sharolyn King (Michael); grandchildren, Cherilyn Laymance (Shahn), Baileigh Jones, Zack Jones (Amy), Shana Parks (Bill), Casie Jo Cook (Casey); step-grandchildren, Dr. Alyssa King (Shawn), Mindy Maniord (Cody), Gina Svensson (Kristian); great-grandchildren, Jacob, Noah, Elijah and Carahlyne Laymance, Weston and Kaylie Parks, Kinsler and Kinslei Cook, Ty, Kolbie and Grayson Jones; sister, Mary Lois Yarbrough (Elton); sister-in-law, Edith Dillard; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
