Jo Ann Ales

Jo Ann Ales, 83 of Burleson Texas passed away on November 3, 2019. Visitation will be held at Blessing Funeral Home on November 7, 2019 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield on November 8, 2019 at 10 o’clock. Ed Lowe of Retta Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Point in Lillian, Texas.

Jo Ann worked as an employment specialist supervisor at Texas Workforce Commission for 31 years. She enjoyed reading and working outside in the yard and garden.

Jo Ann was born in Crockett, Texas on April 20, 1936. She graduated from Itasca High School and attended Texas Wesleyan University. She also served in the United States Airforce.

Jo Ann is survived by daughter, Susan Mote of Burleson, granddaughter, Michelle Ladd and husband John of Saginaw, grandson, Jason Mote and wife Bonnie of Bedford, sister, Wanda Underdown of Lillian, grandchildren Adriana and Brandon Mote and Elissa, Kailee and Zoe Winsett and numerous family and friends.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Cook and father, James Raymond Turner.
