MANSFIELD -- Jean Levins, age 88, passed away peacefully Monday, August 25, 2014.
Service: She will be interred with her husband Charles at Arlington National Cemetery in September.
Jean loved big family dinners, and was a magnificent cook. A longtime resident of Washington, D.C., she was Miss Anacostia in 1949. She was also very proud of her adopted home of Mansfield, where she resided for 38 years--traveling to all the small towns of Texas each weekend. Her women's club buddies will all miss her fun-loving and energetic style.
She was preceded in death by husband George "Buddy" Cole, who died in the Korean conflict, husband Charles Levins, and son Timothy.
She is survived by sons John and Mike, daughters Leslie and Donna, grandsons Thom and Kenny, granddaughters Kristen and Jennifer, and nephew Charles.
