Jason Prosser

Jason Prosser was born September 2, 1975 in Arlington, Texas and left this earth for a better place on Oct. 19, 2012. He graduated from Mansfield High School then obtained a degree in Agriculture from Tarleton State University. When Jason went to work for the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice as an Ag Specialist III, he found his dream job. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and sitting on his four-wheeler throwing the ball for Digger, his best friend. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold as big as Texas. Jason is survived by his parents, Jerry and Kay Prosser of Arlington; sister, Stephanie Prosser of Euless; maternal grandmother, Theresa Lewis of Rising Star; uncles Randy Lewis of Rising Star, Kermit Lewis of Midland, and Eldon Prosser and wife Sue of Valley Mills; aunts Mary Deans of Valley Mills and Sharon Bond and husband Ron of Cross Plains; several cousins who were more like siblings than cousins; his extended family on TBH; a host of friends, and his best friend Digger. Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Shorty Lewis, paternal grandparents Howard and Wanda Prosser, aunt Erba Light and uncle Larry Prosser. Pallbears will be Jamie Dixon, Andy Hatfield, Lee Lowery, Brandon Mobley, Craig Mobley, Armando Portillo, Brad Senter, Jeff Scott, Clint Scribner, and Joey Tippit. Colors will be presented by Region 3 Honor Guard.
