James Aram Tamakian, 31 of Dallas, left this earth on January 16, 2024. James was born to Sara Kay and
Armen George Tamakian on March 4, 1992, in Arlington, Texas. He was a resident of Mansfield, Texas
and graduated from Legacy High School in Mansfield. James loved all sports and excelled in Baseball. He
went on to play baseball at East Texas Baptist College, Northwood College, and Texas College where he
graduated with his bachelor’s in business management in 2015. He continued his education earning a
Master’s in Kinesiology and Coaching in 2021 from the University of Arkansas.
His dedication and determination led him to a career in Coaching. He started at Grace Prep, moving to
Richland College and later Grayson College before moving this year to private lessons and coaching at D-
BAT East Dallas.
James was very close to his family and friends. His mother describes him as her child who always felt
more. James had an unwavering dedication to helping his players achieve their best. He touched many
lives, and he will be dearly missed.
James is preceded in death by his father, Armen George Tamakian. He leaves behind to cherish his
memory his mother, Sara Kay Tamakian; brother, Matthew Tamakian; sister, Kasie Rohde and her
husband, Shaun; and niece and nephews, Emily Rohde, William Rohde, and Alex Rohde; and his beloved
aunts, uncles, and cousins; along with many dear friends, teammates, and athletes.
