MANSFIELD -- James Paul "Jim" Moore, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at his home.
Service: 1 p.m., Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield.

Jim was born in Fort Worth on Sept. 10, 1928 to James Douglas and Ruby Cantrell Moore. He graduated from Trimble Technical High School and Texas Christian University. He and Mary Elaine Weeks were married on April 7, 1950 in Fort Worth. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 30 years of service in Mineral Wells, Abilene, Fort Worth, Dallas, Lubbock, Beaumont and St. Louis, Missouri. He retired from the city of Arlington after 10 years of service.
Jim was devoted to God and his family. He was a friend to all and servant to anyone in need. He was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, serving as an elder in five congregations in Mineral Wells, Mansfield, Arlington, and St. Louis, Missouri.
Jim took pleasure in building projects, designing homes and repairing anything. He enjoyed golf and flying, acquiring a private pilot's license. He especially enjoyed travelling with his family to Maui. He also cared for many beloved pets through the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Helen Graham.
Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Mary Moore; daughters, Kay Spencer and husband, Tim, Leslie McCormick and husband, Joe; granddaughters, Katherine Davis and Amanda McCormick; brother, Ronald Moore and wife, JoAnn; nephews, Dave Baldridge, Michael Moore; nieces, Sue Kent, Mindy Moore and Marcy Collinsworth.
