James “Jim” Maynard, 82 of Grand Prairie, Tx passed into heaven on Monday, March 18, 2019.

On March 9, 1957 he married Betty Ross Fite and they raised 2 daughters, Karen and Stephania, and 1 son, Jeff.
Jim had a passion for collecting antique cars and airplanes. He loved to sit in the garage, read his newspaper and watch the birds and the squirrels. He was a simple man that believed hard work was the only way to achieve anything in life. He did not believe in being lazy and did not like to rely on others to do things for him.
He is preceded in death by brother David Mays and granddaughter Samantha Maynard.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Betty, children Karen and Jeff Maynard and Stephania Denno, grandchildren Joshua, Justin, Jordan Maynard, Blake Maynard and Heather Denno and great grandson CJ Maynard. Special thanks to the wonderful ladies of the home health company who helped care for him in the last 2 years. We could not have done it without each and every one of you
Jim was the patriarch of the Maynard family and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
