MANSFIELD -- James Edward Kilgore, 51, went to be with his Lord on July 7, 2015.
Service: 2 p.m., Friday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Visitation: following the service.
James was born April 30, 1964 in Teague Hospital to Robert W. and Bernice Kilgore of Buffalo.
He was a 1983 graduate of Mansfield High School and a 1987 graduate of Tarrant County College. He was a computer-aided draftsman.
James attended Creekwood Church in Mansfield and previously was a longtime member of New Life Assembly of God, where he sang in the choir and worked with boys in the Royal Ranger program.
James will be fondly remembered by family and his many friends for his upbeat personality, tendency to spring into spontaneous song and his many projects.
He suffered from complications of diabetes for many years, but never let his health destroy his zest for life. His health has been supported by Tarrant Dialysis in Mansfield for many years. James was very fond of the staff there.
James was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Kilgore, one sister, Celeste Kilgore and his grandparents, John and Dovie Cooper and Lee and Ollie Kilgore.
Survivors: Mother, Bernice Kilgore, of Mansfield, three sisters, Wanda Kitchens of Mansfield, Shelby Patterson and husband, John, of Arlington and Cindy Kilgore, of Mansfield; one nephew, Christopher Kitchens, of Mansfield; cousins from all over the nation and many dear friends.
