James Cody Groom

James Cody Groom of Midlothian, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2024, at the young age of 38. Surviving him is his wife Hannah and children Shooter James, Oliver Milo, Nova Pearl, Elijah Chase, and James Forrest Groom and mother Lynda Groom, sisters Erica Jones, Mindy Groom, Amanda Trotter and aunts, uncles, nephew, cousins, and many close friends.

Cody was preceded in death by his father James Eric Groom, and son Levi Wayne.

Cody was loved deeply by his family and provided greatly for them. He loved his children, cars, and had an especially deep love for his mother. He spent every free moment with his family creating memories. Helping was the definition of James Cody Groom; he was always there to help everyone and anyone who needed it. He lived his life for everyone around him, especially for his father. Cody continues his father’s memory as well as his son’s will continue his, proudly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Blessing Funeral Home, located at 401 Elm St, Mansfield, TX 76063

Let us not mourn the silence that now fills the space James Cody once occupied, but rather celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the joy he brought to our lives.
