Jim was born November 4th, 1938 in Aurora, Illinois to Miles and Peryl Eastabrook.

Jim grew up in Hinckley, Illinois where he enjoyed working on the family dairy farm and playing baseball. He graduated from Hinckley High School in 1956.

In 1961 Jim volunteered to join the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country for three years, stationed primarily at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He was honorably discharged in 1964 as an expert rifleman and a medical technician.

Shortly after leaving the army he married Carol Eisenberg. Together they had two beautiful children whom Jim loved dearly, Deborah and Michael.

In retirement, he enjoyed sitting on his dock in Granbury, Texas talking about his grandchildren, fishing, working in his yard and gardening. His hobbies included woodworking, painting and carpentry. Like his father he could build or fix anything. He made many friends and didn’t know a stranger. He was always accompanied by his loyal and faithful dog, Zorro.
