Mansfield -- James Verdel Bandy, 85, was welcomed home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
SERVICE: 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Mansfield Church of Christ with visitation following. Internment: 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the DFW National Cemetery. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Devine Mercy Hospice in Mansfield. Jim was born November 6, 1927 in Godley, Tx, son of Edna Mae and Lee Bandy. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps post WWII occupation Germany and during the Korean War. Jim retired from LTV in 1983. Jim loved his family! He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Charlsa Newman.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Bessie Idell ; son, Ed and wife, Susan; son, Craige and wife, Stasia; grandchildren, Shea Stapleton, Chelsea Kloss, Garrett Bandy, Cole Bandy; great-grandchildren, Rhylee and Tatym Stapleton; sisters, Laverne Thomas, Sharon Tidwell; brother, Bobby Bandy.
