For My Loving Husband by Janet Austin
Jim was a really good man who loved me and his family. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised there until he went into the Navy. He was stationed in Alameda, California where I met him.
We were married 3 months later and were married for 57 ½ years. We moved to Texas in 1971 where it has been home ever since.
We had a good life with our four sons. After they were grown we did a lot of traveling. We saw 49 states, only missing Alaska.
He got dementia in December of 2010 and life was hard after that. At least he is at peace now, but I and the family will miss him terribly.
Survivors: Wife, Janet Austin; sons, Gary Dwayne, Joseph Alan, Raymond Micheal, and Brian Lee; six grandchildren, Sara, Jamie, Brandi, Chelsea, Dusty and Kaleb; great-grandson, Joseph; and by his sister, Debbie Vaughn.
