ARLINGTON -- Jackie Dean "Jack" Barrett entered the kingdom of heaven on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Mansfield.
Jack was born July 9, 1934, in Topeka, Kan., the son of William Valentine Barrett and Myrtle Huss Barrett. He worked at IBM in marketing and sales for 35 years, retiring in 1991. He then went on to the coordinator of the Tandy American Enterprise Center at TCU from 1991 until his retirement in 2001.
He served on active duty in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1959. He went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, honorably discharged in 1972.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Pauline and Paul Barrett.
Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Marcella "Mickey" Barrett; children, Brett Barrett and wife, Lori, Scott Barrett and wife, Betsy, Brenda Barrett; grandchildren, Evan and Megan Barrett, Ryan and Shelby Blue; and siblings, Bill and Tom Barrett, Bonnie Wilson, Donna Leyden, John Barrett, Carolyn Keller and Dick Barrett.
