JD Palmer, 73, formerly of Grand Prairie Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 after suffering a long battle from renal failure.
Mr. Palmer was born to Billie Lee Palmer and Florence Ala (McNeece) Palmer on March 3, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas. Through the years, Mr. Palmer met and married Mary Goolsby. They shared 44 years together where they built a home, business and a family. Mr. Palmer enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying his airplane. However, his main passion was his guns. He spent many years building a collection to pass on through the generations. You could always walk in to his home and know you were always protected and safe.
Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rhea Palmer, parents Billie Lee Palmer and Florence Ala McNeece, Stepfather Ernie McNeece, brother-in-law Robert Young, daughter, Mary Janette Tyson, grandson Patrick Tyson and son-in-law, John Stringer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters Ophenia Reid, Patricia Young, Hilda Dismukes, Lori Martin, brothers Glenn McNeece, Roy McNeece, Roger McNeece, Robert McNeece, daughters Pamela Stringer, Joyce Talley and Serena Schuler, son-in-law Dalton Monroe, grandchildren Jonathan Carrothers, Brandy Hedges, Travis Talley, Tiffanny Tyson, Ariel Miller and John Bradley Schuler, great grandchildren Leah Carrothers, Ryland Carrothers, Baylee Carrothers, Adrian Tyson, Serenity Miller, Jermiah Talley, Travis Talley Jr, Skylnn Talley, Brantley John Schuler as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
