Herman Royster, a devoted family man and proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away on January 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering commitment to his country and family. Born on February 23, 1945, Herman filled his years with deep passions for life, faith, and the joys of western shows that brought him great comfort and laughter.

Throughout his life, Herman embodied the true essence of patriotism. His service in the Air Force not only reflected his dedication to his country but also instilled a sense of honor that resonated through every aspect of his being. His military experience shaped him into a man of principle, integrity, and resilience—a guiding force for his loved ones.

Herman's heart belonged to his family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sandee Carlock; son, Philip Carlock; and son, Kavin Royster and wife Jennifer. His life blossomed further with the joy of being a grandfather to Aimee, Justin, Jamie, Brandon, Breanna, and Bo, who cherished every moment with their granddad. Not stopping there, he was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jack, Riot, Genevieve, and Greyson, who undoubtedly knew him as a figure of warmth and wisdom. Left to also cherish his memory were his sisters, Helen Stapleton, Sharon Sowards, and Carol Vicars. He was also a caring companion to Shadow, his beloved fur-baby, who brought him much joy and companionship throughout his days.

Herman is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Royster. Their enduring love continues to resonate with all who knew them, a testament to the remarkable bond they built together.

A memorial service honoring Herman’s life will take place on January 25, 2025, at Blessing Colonial Chapel in Mansfield, Texas, where friends and family will gather to celebrate the remarkable man he was and the memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Herman Royster will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will live on in the lives he touched and the stories he shared. His legacy of faith, family, and patriotism serves as a lasting reminder of the love he inspired throughout his lifetime.
