Harvey Gene Deharde

Harvey Gene Deharde, 80, passed away at home surrounded by his family, Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017.
Funeral: 11 a.m., Wednesday at First Methodist Mansfield. Interment: 2 p.m. at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home. Memorials: Expression of sympathy may be made to the Shrine Hospital.
Harvey was born Sept. 3, 1936 in Luling. Following High School, he served four years in the U.S. Navy and five years as a Texas State Trooper. Earned his Engineering Degree at Texas A&M and worked in the oil industry where he and his family traveled and lived all over the world. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Sandra Condren. They have three children, five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Harvey was a Master Mason and a Shriner. He was an avid golfer and loved hunting. He volunteered anyway he could at the church he loved so much. Harvey was proceeded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lola and his brother, James Law. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Marla Guidry, Gena Kelly and Michel Deharde; grandchildren; Lance, Lane, Madison, Jack and Michael; great-granddaughter, Shelby with a second great-grandchild due in January; as well as numerous loving friends and family.
