Gwendolyn Ann Mitchell

Gwendolyn Ann Mitchell (Burgess), age 69 of Mansfield, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 after a short illness.

Gwen was born on August 2, 1948 in Waxahachie, Texas, the daughter of Glenn W. Burgess Sr. and Dorothy Helen McKennon Burgess. She grew up in Venus, Texas and Graduated from Venus High School.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Billy J. Mitchell Jr. of Mansfield; her son Don Baird of Burleson; her daughter, Sherry Harden and son-in-law Robert Harden of Mansfield, two step daughters, Amber Mitchell and son-in-law Chad Pittman of San Diego, CA and Crystal Mitchell of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Jimmy Burgess of Mansfield and Dalton Burgess of Alvarado; two grandsons, Wade Harden of Waxahachie and Waylon Baird of Burleson; Numerous loving relatives and friends.

Gwen was preceded in death by her father Glenn Burgess Sr. and mother Dorothy Burgess, daughter Tracy Baird, brother Glenn Burgess Jr.(Rusty) and Nephew Bradley Burgess.

Gwen (Our Mother) was an incredible mother, she was strong, fierce, protective and loved with all of her heart. She will be missed for all of our days.
