Gwendolyn Bernice Ansloan

Gwendolyn Bernice Ansloan, 66 of Joshua, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2023. Gwendolyn was born to Bernice and Lee Roy Verhey in Camp Drew, Japan on April 27, 1956. She was one of seven siblings.

Gwendolyn married her beloved husband Robert Ansloan on May 25, 2002 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a mother to four children and five step-child and later a doting grandmother to her fifteen grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She loved Jesus with unshakable faith, and was a member of the Alvarado Worship Center. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Spending time and playing games with family filled Gwen with joy. Gwen enjoyed decorating for the holiday seasons and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. She loved cooking for her family and having sleepovers at her house with her grandkids.

She had the most compassionate and generous heart and thought of others often.

Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her father, Lee Roy Verhey, daughter, Jennifer Kopp, sister, Laura Galindo, sons, Albert Gomez and Jeff Kopp.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Robert Ansloan; her mother, Bernice Verhey; her children, Alexis Ewen and husband, Brayden, Jason Kopp and wife, Shelby, and Kathryn Parish and husband, Darren; grandchildren, Maddie, Lyanna, Elyssa, Ashton, Brooklyn, Aubrie, Jason Junior, Arianny, Kaleigh, Kayci, Kaleb, Abbey, Christopher, Brett, Dustin, Taylor, Ashlyn, and Holden; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Lee Verhey and wife, Carol, Joe Verhey and wife, Victoria, Mike Verhey and wife, Lisa; sisters, Peggy Casey and husband, George, Jeanne Wyscarver and numerous nieces and nephews.
