Mom was born July 4, 1936 in Oletha Texas, the eleventh of twelve children, to James Jackson and Gertrude Alford - yes, she was a firecracker all her life. She was raised in Fairfield and Thornton Texas.
Mom moved to Grand Prairie Texas and lived with her sister, our Aunt Bonnie, where she met the love of her life, our dad, Lee Roy. They were married in 1953 and had us two children. In 1970, they settled in Mansfield where they called home and lived a long and happy life together. Mom spent her married life raising us and taking care of her family.
She loved gardening. She and dad had a large garden every summer. Mama loved to read, she loved to paint and she loved many different craft projects. We love you mama and miss you so much..
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Lee Roy Perdue Jr., daughter-in-law Carolyn, granddaughter Tracy D’Ann, her parents, Papa Jack and Mama Gertie, and her eleven siblings.
She is survived by her son, Danney Perdue; daughter, Debi Threlkeld and husband Lewis; grandsons, Andrew Threlkeld and wife Jennifer and Nicholas Threlkeld and wife Heather; great granddaughter Ashley Threlkeld; great grandson Jaxon Threlkeld; and numerous nieces and nephews.
