Glenda Dycus

WHITNEY -- Glenda Wammack-Dycus passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in Arlington following a courageous battle with cancer. Service: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing Colonial Chapel in Mansfield. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was born July 30, 1935, in Tarrant County to Oscar Glen and Allie Mae Pyles Wammack. Glenda was a strong, independent and single mom who became the proprietor of The Arlington Tap Room for 25-plus years to support her children. Survivors: Daughters, Debby Philpot (Randy), Pam Parsons (Steve)and Paula Dycus-Mckay (Wendel); brother, Jim Wammack; sister, Mary Denman; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
