Gerald Allen Cummings, retired, Major in United States Marine Corps, joined his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 26, 2012. Gerry was born to Marvin and Bonnie Cummings on December 3, 1961 on Itazuke Airbase, Kyushu, Japan. He grew up in Aurora, Colorado alongside his siblings Paula and Dori. Gerry joined the United States Marine Corps March 17, 1982. He served his country for 28 and half years, serving in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom. His prestigious military career also included serving as Crew Chief in Marine One for Presidents Reagan and Bush Sr. Gerry married his bride, Vikki, in 1983, where they moved to their duty station in Hawaii. In 1985 their first daughter Steffanie was born. Their youngest daughter, Amy, was born four years later in Virginia. He retired in 2010 and went to work for Lockheed Martin in Texas.
