Frances Helen Ward, was born October 26, 1922 in Hamlin, Texas and passed away peacefully July 25, 2012. She lived a long, full life and will be greatly missed by her loving family. She met her beloved husband, Elmer Ward, in Abilene, Texas at Camp Barkeley where she worked and he was stationed during World War II. Thus began their 68-year love affair. She was a faithful and active church member, a member of P.E.O., a Girl Scout leader, a consummate volunteer, and was known for her feisty nature, tempered by humor and her kind and nurturing spirit. She saw beauty in everything and everyone around her, and loved to spoil her family. Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Elmer; her children, John and Susan; son-in-law, Jerry; five grandchildren: Tony, Mick, Jonathon, Alex, and Elizabeth; and two great-grandchildren: Maris and Kelly.
