MANSFIELD -- Frances Garcia, 79, passed away Jan. 6, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
Service: 11 a.m., Friday at First Bible Baptist Church of Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield.
Frances was born March 1, 1934 to Celso and Grace Mejia in Lampasas. She married Ilario Garcia in 1947 and settled in Mansfield in 1963, where they raised seven children. Frances had a special love for flowers, birds, people and scrapping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, one son-in-law, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors: Frances is survived by children, Sylvia Young, Alice Cain, Lucy Luce and Pete Garcia; two sisters; two brothers; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
