MANSFIELD -- Evelyn Faye Hart a loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the age of 90. Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to any charity of your choice. Evelyn was born Nov. 15, 1922 in Venus, to Dessie and Joe Hudson, Sr. She married Jesse Royce Hart on March 28, 1942 and lived the rest of her life in Mansfield. She worked as a doctor's receptionist for many years until she retired in 1979 to provide daycare for her two grandchildren. Known as "Nonnie" to both family and many friends, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, preparing Monday night dinners for everyone well into her 89th year. Evelyn was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church and since July of 2012 was a resident of the Isle at Watercrest. Her family would like to thank her friends and the employees at the Isle, both in the assisted living and skilled nursing, for their kindness and support. Evelyn's sense of humor, kind and fun-loving spirit and her positive attitude will be greatly missed by both family and friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 54 years, Jesse Royce Hart, sister, Mary Doris Hackler, brothers, J.D. Hudson, Sr., charles (Crow) Hudson and Chester (Steve) Hudson and son-in-law, Gary Brewer. Survivors: Daughter, Pam Searcy and husband, Byron; grandchildren, Tiffany Woodward and Brandon Brewer and wife, Lauren; great-grandchildren, Hollie, Marshall, Eve and Jessa Woodward, Nicole and Gavin Brewer; brother, Joe Hudson, Jr. and wife, Nancy; sister-in-law, Edna Earl Hudson and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
