Eupal Lee Harmon

March 2, 1934 — December 4, 2022

Eupal Lee Harmon was born on March 2, 1934, in McAlester, Oklahoma to Jessy and Nancy Stokes. She passed away at the age of 88 on December 4, 2022, in Mansfield, Texas.

Eupal was a nurse for many years, and she loved to cook for her family, read books and spend time with her animals. She loved to watch old westerns and game shows on television. Family was the most important thing to her; she was a daddy's girl through and through. She was one of the most stubborn and caring women you could ever hope to meet. She will be missed by her family more and more every day, but we take comfort in the memories we shared with her throughout the years.

Her first husband, Billy Kerns, passed away on August 5, 1967. He and Eupal were married on November 28, 1949, and were together for 17 years until his death. In this time, they had 5 children together.

Eupal and Tommy Harmon were married on February 11, 1972. They were together for 39 years until his death on February 5, 2011. They never had children of their own, but he helped raise her 5 children as if they were his own.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings; her two husbands, Billy Kerns and Tommy Harmon; her sons, Stanley Kerns, Darrell Kerns, Randy Kerns; her son-in-law, Ronnie Nixon, daughter in law Gail Kerns and grandson Jason Kerns.

Eupal is survived by her daughters, Sandra Nixon, Angela Jones; her son-in-law, Edwin Jones; grandchildren, John Humphrey, Billy Kerns, Katie Jones, Paige Wilkey, Austin Jones, Natalie Jones, and grandson-in-law, Adrian Wilkey; great-grandchildren, Kaela Humphrey, Justin McKinny, Piper Wilkey, Riley Mead and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
