Eunice Louise Lowe

November 2, 1935 — January 16, 2017

Eunice Louise Lowe, 81, went home to her Lord January 16, 2017. Eunice was born to Oscar Vondo and Etta Mae (Borden) Gideon on November 2, 1935 in Clayton, Oklahoma.
Eunice attended a one room schoolhouse, which she rode a horse to, until she moved to Grand Prairie, Texas at the age of 16. She attended Grand Prairie High School and worked at Hood’s Café, where she met her love, Lloyd. Eunice married Lloyd five years later on April 28, 1955 and were married for 49 years until Lloyd’s passing, April 1, 2004.
Eunice enjoyed her children and grandchildren, sharing time with them at parks, each and every garage sale they saw as well as frequenting the neighborhood McDonald’s. She enjoyed Wheel of Fortune, Dr. Phil and had established a regimented schedule of programs to watch on television which her family adhered to.
She practically raised her grandchildren. They will always remember her for her great cooking and the memories they have of her. However, family was not always a blood relative to her. Grandchildren recall her kindness to their friends, extended from their grandmother, in times of need and want. A great deal of who their grandmother is encompasses who they are today. However, Eunice did steal Roxii the Chihuahua, but her grandchildren loved her anyway.
Eunice had a selfless, unconditional love for all; a divine motherly quality about her that everyone who had contact with her felt. She never met a stranger and was a selfless person. Her family has precious memories and stories that tell of her caring and lighthearted personality and feel that she is the most loving, caring and wonderful woman anyone could ever meet. Eunice was a family oriented person; family was everything to her and, will forever be thought of as the backbone; the matriarch of her family.
Eunice had Agape. Agape embraces a universal, unconventional love that transcends, that serves regardless of one’s circumstances. There will never be another like her. She made people feel accepted when they felt otherwise and her love, devotion to family and generosity will forever be missed.
Eunice is preceded in death by her Parents, Oscar and Etta Mae Gideon, Husband Lloyd, Brothers Jack and Clifton, and Sister Dorothy Grimes.
Eunice is survived by her six children; Ray, Patty, Tommy, Linda, Stacey and Ronnie; Grandchildren Angie, Scotty, Jacky, Jennifer, T.J., Anthony, Brandon, Stephanie, Justin, Tyler, Britney, Hailey, Ashley, Ronnie, Jeff and Alicia; Great-grandchildren Austin, Daniel, Jada Rose, Hagan, Jonah, Jasmin, Lily, Kamber, Genevieve, Cameron, Kaycee, Aniyah, Daivion, Brendan and Elizabeth and sister Mary S. Jarvis.
