Elzie Maurice Holman, 82, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield.
Elzie Maurice Holman was born May 1, 1934 in Seymour Texas to Elzie Holman and Mattie Lerlean Lewis. He attended school in Amarillo and begin working at the Amarillo Globe Newspaper in 1948. He married Betty Cogdill on August 27, 1956. In July 1962 they had a daughter Cheryl Lynne Holman. They moved from Amarillo Texas to Arlington Texas in 1965 where they lived until 1984 when they moved to Mansfield Texas. He retired from the Fort Worth Star Telegram in 1989 as a Lead Pressman. In retirement he enjoyed reading, art, and anything related to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elzie and Lerlean; and sister Dorothy Holman.
Survivors: Wife Betty Holman, daughter Cheryl Millican and son-in-law Clint; grand-daughter Melissa, grandson Christopher and wife Amanda and great grandson Grayson.
