Elsie Griffith

"Elsie Griffith, née Winterroth was born on August 4, 1933, in Brownsville, Texas during hurricane number 5, that struck just south of the city on August 4th. She passed from this life, peacefully, on April 13, 2022 in Cleburne, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Griffith, Sr on October 2, 2011. Elsie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a faithful member of the Church of God for almost 60 years.

Elsie leaves behind two sons, Thomas Griffith Jr. and his wife Thryza, and John Griffith and his wife Michelle as well as five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Her funeral is on April 29, 2022 at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, Texas. Internment will be at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on May 3, 2022, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband Tom of 55 years.

She will be greatly missed for her strength of faith and character, which made her the foundation of her family."
