Ellen Betts

Ellen Betts, born October 1, 1938, left this life on March 13, 2025 in Fort Worth, TX. She was born as Myrtle Ellen Meeks to the late Robert and Eula Meeks of Henrietta, Clay County, Texas.

During Ellen’s school years she played saxophone for the Henrietta High School Band and participated in many clubs. Following her graduation, Ellen married and began her life in the DFW area. Ellen’s greatest joy came from the birth of her daughter.

During her retirement years, she was an avid pet lover and doted on her “pups” as she called them. Those who knew Ellen will always remember her infectious smile and joyful laughter.

Ellen is survived by one daughter, Shelly Starnes of Mansfield, TX, three grand “pups” that she loved very much, and many friends and cousins who will dearly miss her.
