Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend Edward (Ed) Paul Palma, 75, passed away in the comfort of his home on August 28, 2018 in Arlington, TX. Edward was born on January 8, 1943 in San Bernadino, CA to Peter and Grace Palma. He married Paulette Hegwer in 1964 and together they raised three sons.
Ed graduated from Redlands High School in 1961 and after graduation, joined the U.S. Air Force where he served as a missile technician. He went on work for Mountain Bell and U.S. West in Tucumcari, NM, Socorro, NM, and finally Roswell, NM, where he and his wife Paulette chose to settle and raise their family. After retirement, he moved to Las Cruces, NM, then to Granbury, TX, where he could fulfill his dream of living next to a lake to have access to his favorite hobbies, boating and fishing. Ed’s kindness, integrity, love for his family, and his love of the outdoors will forever be remembered by family and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Palma and Grace Palma. He is survived by his loving wife, Paulette Palma; sons Dean Palma (April), Danny Palma (Elaine), and Cris Palma (Mary); brother Richard Palma; grandchildren Kaitlyn Brix (Tony), Ashley Palma, Ava Palma, Jordyn Palma, Devon Palma, Domonique Garley, Gage Garley, Gabrielle Garley, and Avery Johnson; great-grandchildren Logan Brix and Lexi Brix; and other relatives and friends.
