Edita (Franceschi) Sessions, 93 of Fort Worth, went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 22, 2022. Edita was born to Delmira Esquivel and Abigail Franceschi on September 16, 1928 in David, Panama. She was proud of her Spanish and Italian heritage, her father being from Sicily, Italy. She was one of eleven siblings and spent her early years growing up on her family farm in David, Panama. After graduating from Escuela Normal Juan Demóstenes Arosemena in Panama with a bachelor’s degree in Education, she went on to be a teacher. She fluently spoke French, Spanish, and English.
Edita moved to America and was naturalized on February 18th, 1955. She met and later married her beloved husband Wallace W. Sessions on October 21, 1960.
Edita was a strong woman of faith. She fiercely loved her husband and two children. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and painting. Edita learned to sew from her older sister, whom was a professional seamstress. She made countless numbers of quilts and pieces of art. She had creativity beyond measure. Above all things though she enjoyed being with her family and friends the most.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace Sessions; her parents, Delmira Esquivel and Abigail Franceschi; and her siblings.
Edita leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Mitchell Ray Aldridge; her daughter Leaetta Dora Weller and husband, Doug; her niece, Livia Tage and her immediate family; and numerous extended family members and friends whom she loved as family.
Edita will be dearly missed here on earth; her family takes comfort in knowing she is resting now in peace with the Lord.
