On July 3, 2024, Douglas William Crabtree was called home to be with The Lord. Douglas was born on November 7, 1950, in Dallas, Texas. He passed away at the age of 73 in Arlington, Texas, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Douglas led a life full of purpose and service. He proudly served as an MP in the United States Army, where his dedication and commitment were commendable. Throughout his military career, Douglas exemplified excellence and was awarded with the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and multiple Expert - Sharp Shooter achievements.
Education was also a significant part of Douglas's life. He pursued his passion for learning and obtained a BA in Education from UT-Arlington. His thirst for knowledge and his desire to make a difference shone through in all aspects of his life.
A loving and devoted husband, Douglas is survived by his beloved wife, Kristine Crabtree (Bennett). Their bond was a testament to the strength found in deep love and enduring companionship.
The memory of Douglas William Crabtree will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we gather to bid him farewell at the graveside on July 26, 2024, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas and later that day during his memorial service at St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church in Arlington, let us remember his kindness, his wisdom, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
